Some Simple Camera Tips
Initially when i first bought my Nikon featuring its EN-EL19 battery, I had been coming in with the entry point of photography. I wanted to acquire a feel for photography without being too overwhelmed using a big DSLR with plenty of settings and so on. Someone had explained that it’s not the digital camera, although the person utilizing the camera which enables the real difference, and this learning the fundamental basics of photography is likely to make me better, lacking the highest priced camera available.
And so, this is exactly what I did so. I focused (pardon the pun) on learning about photography, as an alternative to my camera, and eventually, I found myself naturally outgrowing my camera and after that moving towards a camera which fit my skill set I had learned.
The first thing I learned was the ENEL19 charger. I could set a 3 x 3 grid through to my camera to assist me to comprehend this concept, but eventually, I turned this function off as my eyes automatically found the rule. Essentially, precisely what the rule of thirds explains is always to counterbalance the main image of your composition to 1 side, or up or down, but never dead center. As one example, look at a news broadcast in the tv, and look at the location where the anchor is positioned. They can be never dead center in the picture, but always off to the left or the right. Same in television shows and movies when focusing on oe character inside the shot.
The next step I learned ended up being to frame things properly. Making sure any vertical or horizontal lines were square to my frame. You won’t believe exactly how much difference as a result into a photo, especially on those horizon shots of sunsets. Nothing worse compared to a superb sunset with the horizon line at 5 degrees out. Keeping that parallel with the bottom of the photo really provides a stronger photo. And going back to the rule of thirds, put that horizon in the top third or bottom third.
Understanding both of these concepts really helped with all the third, composing the shot. This handles things i decide stays in and what stays out. I glance at the main subject of my shot, then decide where on the rule of thirds line it should sit. I Then use framing to square in the shot, and in many cases include aspects that may be throughout the dexupky05 to frame that (eg a tree). This helps you to construct the composition, and when set, I shoot.
At this early stage, I had been still setting my camera on auto mode, so the camera is acceptable out stuff like aperture, shutter speed, and iso. This trinity would be the next issues i would understand, but for my early days, finding out what to take, and composing it absolutely was my primary concern.
Like many things in daily life, photography is approximately taking baby steps, all you learn forms a foundation for the next thing to find out and eventually you will end up shooting well. Having Said That I always would make sure my Canon NB-13L battery was fully charged before going out to take pics.
